Anyone who follows me on instagram will see that I got into
the Easter spirit and made chocolate egg brownies. They are soooo good but I do
feel like one bite could give you diabetes as they are super naughty and
sugar-tastic. Anyway! I thought I’d share the recipe I used on here: (I know it’s a
bit late but I figured after the weekend people would have chocolate going
spare!).
Ingredients:
185g unsalted butter
185g Dark Chocolate
85g Plain flour
40g cocoa powder
3 large eggs
275g golden caster sugar
Any eggs: cream eggs or I used mine mixed eggs like caramel
and cream eggs and plain chocolate. Be creative!
A greased 20x20 tin.
Preheat oven to 170C.
Then melt your chocolate and butter (I did this in the microwave- be
careful not to burn the chocolate!).
Add your eggs and sugar to a mixing bowl and stir using a
band blender on top speed (you can do this manually or using a kitchen aid- I didn't dare use my mums as it’s her pride and joy haha). Do this for 3 minutes
until it looks like a McDonald's milkshake (all thick and bubbly).
Add your chocolate and butter which should now have cooled.
Gently fold in using a spatula (do this gently as want to catch the air so it
rises). Now sieve in the flour and cocoa powder and again fold gently.
Once all
combined pour into the baking
tray and cook in the oven for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes remove from the oven and press the
chocolate eggs in the top (you can even half the eggs so you can see the innards or keep whole).
Put back in the oven for another 10 minutes.
Remove and leave to cool.
EAT!!!
Hope you all had a lovely easter!
Ooh I made similar ones to these for easter too :)
